With all of the horrible things we see in the news, it’s nice to get a daily dose of “awwww” to take our minds off of things. I usually try and share any good stories I hear on the air. Now, I am sharing some of those things online.

Today, I give you the first baby hippo born at a zoo in Mexico City in 16 years.

This little guy (or girl) was born at the Chapultec Zoo in Mexico. The baby will continue to be raised and nurtured by its mother for the next 11 months, and at that point, zoo workers will be able to examine it to determine its gender.

Soon, the public will be able to vote on this adorable little ball of cuteness' name. Options so far include Manik, Hanik, and Igoli.
