Back in 2016, Demi Lovato shocked Lyft passengers when she went undercover as "Samantha," a chatty driver and "aspiring" singer from Los Angeles.

Now Lovato's back, but this time she' surprising Lyft drivers, not passengers, with a very special tip: hours of free studio time and VIP tickets to her upcoming concerts.

Lovato has teamed up with the driving service in celebration of Lyft drivers accruing over $500 million in tips since Lyft first launched in 2012.

For the special campaign, Lyft drivers in the Miami area who are musicians were gathered under the pretense of auditioning for an on-camera Lyft commercial. Instead of an audition, Lovato was brought in to meet them and deliver the news of their prize, "The Ultimate Tip," in person.

“I was inspired by the four amazing Lyft drivers and am so lucky to have had the chance to get to know their personal journeys and make it that much easier for them to pursue their love of music," Lovato shared in a statement.

“It’s always been important for me to use my platform to help and inspire others, and giving these talented Lyft drivers the opportunity to continue to make music and encourage them to follow their dreams meant the world to me," she added.
