The Red Wings will take the ice against the Tampa Bay Lightning for Game 7 Wednesday night without two of their best and most experienced defensemen.

Marek Zidlicky experienced concussion-like symptoms following Game 6, and it's now been officially announced that he'll be on the sidelines for Game 7 along with the suspended Niklas Kronwall

The winner of tonight's game will move on to play Montreal in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Zidlicky has yet to score in the series thus far, but has been an instrumental part of the team, nonetheless.

In the absence of both Zidlicky and Kronwall, Fox Sports Detroit says the Wings will likely play two far less experienced players: Alexey Marchenko, 23; and Jakub Kindl, 28.

Game 7 between the Red Wings and Lightning will take place Wednesday night, April 29th, in Tampa Bay. The puck drops at 7:30pm EST.
