- The Green Door
- 500 Linn St. , Allegan, MI 49010 United States
The Green Door, a medical and recreational provisioning center, will be opening its fourth location at 500 Linn Street in Allegan on Monday, November 1, 2021. To celebrate their grand opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place with the Allegan Chamber of Commerce. Tim Perrigo, Executive Director of the Allegan Chamber of Commerce said that the chamber and the city staff are excited to welcome them to Allegan and appreciates their thoroughness in educating them about how to start a marijuana business.
The Green Door introduced themselves to the Allegan community as the City Council was considering the licensing of the vast array of cannabis businesses. Their owners and managers attended public meetings, hosted their own informational seminar at the Allegan District Library, and provided a tour of their facilities to City of Allegan Staff and Councilmembers. Our understanding of this industry is greater because of their efforts. They are a locally owned business and, from their medical provisionary center in Bangor which opened in 2017, we know them to be a destination for commerce and a proactive supporter of their communities.
For CEO of The Green Door, Justin Dominique, opening a location in Allegan is more of a personal accomplishment. The Allegan High School graduate said he is also excited to open another store in his hometown.
Opening a store in my own community means a lot to me. Starting a business here allows me to give back in what I consider to be, one of the best ways possible in an area that I really care about.
The Fist 100 customers who come in on opening day will receive a free house pre-roll, with the first 50 receiving an additional free t-shirt. The new location will also have a 20% off store-wide sale from November first thru the sixth. The Green Door currently has one location open in Bangor, Michigan, and two in Baldwin, Michigan. Stores will also open in Watervliet and Burr Oak, Michigan by the beginning of 2022.
The ribbon-cutting will take place at 500 Linn Street at 9:30 am. Regular store hours will be Monday thru Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm.
