If you have plans of getting a new Ford F-150, you may want to get to a dealership soon since Ford Motor Company has suspended production of their best selling vehicle.

According to CNN Money, a fire at one of Ford's supplier's facilities has cause the company to run out of parts to build the nation's best-selling vehicle.

Ford announced Wednesday night that they have been forced to stop making the F-150 at the only two plants that build them; one in Dearborn, Michigan and the other just outside Kansas City, Missouri.

The F-150 has been a staple in the US for more than 40 years and also the number one profit generator for the Ford Motor Company.

Ford has almost 3 months of inventory on the F-Series truck and believe that that should be enough that there won't be any shortages in the interim.

The 7,600 workers who build the F-150 across two plants will get most of but not all of their pay during the temporary layoff.
