According to data released by GasBuddy.com, Grand Rapids loved driving around during the shutdown. I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

In a tweet posted Tuesday morning, GasBuddy's Patrick DeHaan released gasoline purchase data that indicated which communities 'followed stay-at-home orders best and who didn't' via the number of time they filled up from March until May.

Grand Rapids was fourth overall in the 'most transactions' (for gas) per person. Only Dallas, Minneapolis and Chicago filled up more.

As for the other side of the spectrum, Baltimore, Las Vegas, and Rochester bought the least amounts of gas during the shut down. Detroit, by the way, was 10th on that list.

Does this mean we did anything wrong? Hardly. If we were just driving around in our own cars to get out of the house, I don't see anything wrong with that. I certainly 'escaped' to my car on more than one occasion, just to get out of the house.
