New York Times writer Drew Christie has a huge dislike for most foods served at Thanksgiving dinner (How could he??!). So, he decided to look a little further into some other options. As he dug into other items that were at the table at the first Thanksgiving one of them really caught his attention...EEL! Gross, right? Well Christie says that eel would have been really prevalent in that region and more than likely consumed even more than turkey for many Thanksgivings.
