When I turned 16 and got my driver's license I got the chance to explore our great state.

There are still a lot of Michigan landmarks I look forward to seeing one day but these are some of my personal favorites so far.
Mackinac Bridge
The Mackinac Bridge is a suspension bridge that connects Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas, spanning the Straits of Mackinac, which connects Lake Michigan and Lake Huron
The bridge opened to traffic on November 1, 1957, and is currently the fifth-longest suspension bridge in the world.
Joe Louis Fist
The Joe Louis Fist is a monument dedicated to boxer Joe Louis located at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Woodward Avenue in Detroit, near Hart Plaza.
Lansing State Capital
I grew up in Howell so making the short trip West to Lansing was pretty easy.
The Michigan State Capitol is the building that houses the legislative branch of the government of the U.S. state of Michigan.
Pictured Rocks
Pictured Rocks is a National Lakeshore located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
It is the first designated national lakeshore in the United States, established in 1966.
Sleeping Bear Dunes
Sleeping Bear Dunes is a national lakeshore located in the northwest coast of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan in Leelanau and Benzie counties near Empire, Michigan.
It is a place of natural beauty, with miles of sand beach, and bluffs that tower 450' above Lake Michigan.
The hills, dunes, valleys, shoreline, small lakes, and streams which you'll see throughout the area were formed by the glaciers
Windmill Island Gardens
Windmill Island Gardens is a park located in Holland, Michigan that features a historic windmill called 'de Zwaan'.
'de Zwaan' is the last windmill allowed to be transported from the Netherlands.
