Former Battle Creek Battle Jacks Intern Shot In The Neck
An intern that previously worked for the Battle Creek Battle Jacks was randomly shot in the neck, and is now in critical condition, but there is a way you can help.
The Battle Creek Battle Jacks
The Battle Creek Battle Jacks are a baseball team in the Northwoods League. Originally known as the Battle Creek Bombers, the team rebranded and adopted its current name in 2022.
Although the Battle Jacks have not yet won a league championship under their current name, the franchise captured a title in 2011 when it competed as the Battle Creek Bombers.
A minor league baseball team like the Battle Jacks relies on many people working behind the scenes. These include coaches, management, groundskeepers, stadium security, concession staff, and members of the broadcast booth. In addition, interns sometimes work for the team and help support daily operations.
Like any team, the Battle Creek Battle Jacks have a rival, the Kalamazoo Growlers. While the two compete fiercely on the field, their rivalry does not prevent them from coming together in times of tragedy.

GoFundMe Set Up for Former Battle Jacks Intern Who Was Shot
Recently, the Kalamazoo Growlers shared a post on their Facebook page expressing support for the Battle Creek Battle Jacks. The message followed a senseless shooting involving Tyler Bright, a former Battle Jacks broadcast intern. Bright was shot in the neck while sitting in his car at a gas station near the University of Louisville. He is currently in critical condition and has limited movement in his legs.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Bright in an attempt to raise $60K, and so far have raised nearly $58K of their goal. To help the family meet their goal, please make your donation here.
