Coca-Cola Is Doing Away With One Of Its Sodas
Fans of Coca-Cola products will have one less soda to choose from as the company will do away with one of its permanent brands.
Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola was invented by John Stith Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1888. Pemberton's original intention was to use it as a medicine.
Pemberton sold the right to businessman Asa Griggs Candler who turned Coca-Cola into a global phenomenon.
Coca-Cola has over 200 brands with thousands of beverages including soft drinks, waters, coffee, and teas.
Coca-Cola currently has its main soft drink along with Dite Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke, Cherry Vanilla Coke, Sprite, Fanta, Barq's Root Beer, Fresca, Mellow Yellow, Pibb-Xtra, and a variety of other Coke-related soft drinks.
Coca-Cola learned a lesson back in 1985 when they tried to introduce New Coke. It only took a few months before consumers let the company know they liked the original better. Less than three months later the company reintroduced its original product as Coca-Cola Classic and it has remained ever since.

A Permanent Coca-Cola Flavor is Going Away
Coca-Cola is always adding new products but not all of them take off with consumers.
What was new 8 months ago will now be phased out from the Coca-Cola Company and that is Spiced. According to WOOD, Coca-Cola will introduce a new flavor in 2025 and since Spiced Coke has not caught on it will be removed from the lineup of soft drinks.
No word on what the new product will be but I wouldn't be surprised if we learn about it during the Super Bowl commercials in 2025.
