Have You Hear of Detroits Infamous Omen, The Red Dwarf?
I've heard tales of Sasquatch, Mothman, The Dogman, Torch Lake Monster, and Snake Goddess of Bell Isle but this is the first I've heard about Le Nain Rouge.
Myths and Legends that Haunt Michigan
You hear of reports of sasquatch being seen in Michigan's Upper Peninsula but no solid proof they exist.
Several reports have happened over the years in Michigan of sightings of Mothman with big red eyes. I still think people are mistaking a huge owl for a man but that's just me.
Other Michigan mythical creatures are the Torch Lake Monster, the Snake Goddess of Belle Isle, and aliens. My favorite is The Dogman because a guy faked a sighting, convinced a radio jock to report on it, and the video of the sighting wound up on a television show. See the videos below.
The video above is the Monster Quest episode with the Gable Dogman video.
The above video of the faked Dogman videos is explained. Search up the originals on YouTube they are great entertainment and very well done. This guy should make horror movies.

Have You Heard of Detroit's Le Nain Rouge?
Wayne State University located in Detroit made a small film explaining the origins of Le Nain Rouge also known as the Red Dwarf or the harbinger of doom.
Where the building above stands in Detroit near the Detroit River is where the founder of the city first ran into the harbinger of doom in 1812 by swatting the red dwarf with a cane. Shortly after the incident, the man lost all of his fortune.
Le Nain Rouge has been linked to almost every Detroit tragedy in history:
- 1707 Main Rouge Sighting by Cadillac
- 1763 Battle of Bloody Run
- Great Fire of 1805
- Surrender of Detroit in the War of 1812
- Connected to the Snake Goddes of Belle Isle
- At Victories of Native Tribes over White Settlers in 19th Century
- 1967 Riots in Detroit
- 1976 Ice Storm
Le Nain Rouge has been used to take the blame for political problems and complicated issues of Detroit's past.
The video above tells the full story of Le Nain Rouge.
