Michigan's Spring Migration Season

One of the most handy tools to utilize during this time of year is Birdcast Migration, a site that shows a forecast from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Birds are known to migrate at night, shortly after sunset.

According to the site, millions of birds migrate across Michigan each night, with 2 million birds entering Michigan from April 30th to May 1st..Across the entire US, 320 million birds are predicted to migrate on the night of May 1st. Yeah, there are a lot more birds in the country than I realized.
