Meet The 12 Super Bowl Contenders With Michigan Ties
Even though the Detroit Lions' 2025 season ended in disappointment, things couldn't have gone better for the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, who have found themselves in Super Bowl 60 in a matchup between two 14-3 teams that appeared dominant all season. The signing of Sam Darnold by the Seahawks and Drake Maye's MVP-caliber second season have led these two teams to the NFL mountaintops.

So even though Michigan's team didn't make the playoffs, leave it to us to make the Super Bowl about Michigan. There are 104 players between the two teams, with players from all around the country making the rosters and others being signed on all the time as injuries mount, so there's bound to be at least one player connected to Michigan playing in the Big Game.
12 Players With Michigan Ties Make Super Bowl 60
As it turns out, there are 12 players on either the Patriots or the Seahawks who have played football in Michigan or were born and raised here. This ranges from Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, who played at Michigan State, to Mike Onwenu, who was born in Detroit AND played at the University of Michigan.
Keep your eyes out for these players when you're watching the Big Game on February 8th at 6:30 p.m.
