Unbelievably Target is Closing Stores. What Are The Reasons?
Lately I have been writing about some of our favorite stores forced into bankruptcy, and/or closing.

Walgreen's is closing 1200 stores in the next year or so.
True Value Hardware filed for bankruptcy and is selling assets to a rival.
Walmart is closing all of their stores for 24 hours. But that is good news because they are closing on Thanksgiving day to give all of their employees the holiday off.
Now, Target has announced they will be closing some stores, but this is bad and at the same time sad news.
They are not closing for not performing well. It's not a holiday off. It's because of crime!
Last year Target said they would be closing several stores, according to the website Rather Be Shopping.
Target said it would be closing a bunch of stores citing “employee and guest” safety. In other words, due to theft and organized crime, it’s not safe, or profitable, to operate these stores anymore. So, some select stores in California, Minnesota, Oregon, New York and Pennsylvania were or are shutting down.
Our sister station 105.7 The Hawk, said crime has been a big issue in certain areas of the country where Target resides. The company said it is facing too many challenges to keep these stores open.
This begs the question, WHAT ABOUT US, OUR MICHIGAN STORES?
This year so far, so good. At this time there are no plans to shut any Michigan stores down.
105.7 The Hawk says sales are at a high with more than 1,900 stores open nationwide so don’t worry Grand Rapids and Michigan. This should be a good holiday season of shopping.
