Colts Fans Lead In Swearing While Lions Show Improvement
As sports fans, we’ve all been guilty of being armchair coaches and getting a little bit too aggressive over our deductions of the games. Getting heated about the play calling or the play itself has led to us most likely swearing a little bit at the television.
The same thing can be said when it comes to our social media posts. When it comes to the Detroit Lions, it turns out the recent success that they’ve seen has cooled us down a little bit, as we are ranked as the 21st most foul-mouthed fanbase in the entire NFL.

That’s not too bad considering 10 years ago we most likely would’ve been very near the top.
But there’s something about the Indiana audience that apparently is driving them insane, because according to the study, it’s showing that the Indianapolis Colts fans have the most follow-mouth fandom since 16.4% of the comments on their subreddit included swear words.
With the 2025 NFL season in full swing, VegasInsider.com has analyzed 1.2 million comments from the subreddits of all 32 NFL fandoms to find out which fans are the most polite and on the contrary, which fandoms are the most foul-mouthed. Secondly, the sentiment of the comments was analyzed to reveal which fandoms are the most negative and which ones are the most positive
Vegas Insider was the one who broke this down in their recent study, and it turns out both our neighbors are pissed.

Even people in Ohio are pretty pissed off, as the Cincinnati Bengals fans were found to be the most negative fandom since 28.48% of their comments apparently had a negative sentiment to them.
I’d be pretty pissed if I were from Ohio ,too.
