Last week, we shared the horrific story of a dog found in a dumpster at an apartment complex in Ann Arbor. Unfortunately, the ending isn’t a happy one.

On March 25, an adorable pitbull that was cold, scared, and starving was found in a dumpster by a tenant at an apartment complex in Ann Arbor. Yes, the dog had been thrown in the garbage as if it were nothing more than a piece of trash.

When the police arrived, they had to basically make a sling to help lift the dog out because it didn’t even have the strength to stand on its own. With help from the Humane Society of Huron Valley, they were able to get the dog out.

Not only could the dog not stand on his own, but he also had a tumor on his side.

According to MLive, the Humane Society named him Norman and was hopeful that the tumor on his left side was benign or at least treatable. Unfortunately, it turned out to be beyond what they could heal, and Norman had to be euthanized.

Ann Arbor police are still seeking information about the lowlifes who may have left Norman in the dumpster. There’s a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the monster responsible.

If you recognize the dog, call the Ann Arbor Police Department at 734-794-6920.

A terrible ending to an already terrible story.
