The (Horse) Girl At The Rock Show: Blink-182 Gifts Fan with Bass Guitar at Detroit Show
Blink-182 made their Detroit stop on their "One More Time" tour Monday night at Little Caesars Arena.
One of the concertgoers caught the band’s attention by bringing a seemingly strange object: a hobby horse. If you’re not familiar with a hobby horse, it’s a stuffed horse head on a stick. 'Hobby horsing' is now a verb and a sport that has taken over the internet and, for some reason, Blink-182 guitarist and singer Tom DeLonge’s Instagram stories.
You can imagine DeLonge's delight when he saw one of the hobby horses at the show. In classic Blink-182 fashion, they turned it into a whole bit, and DeLonge shared his idea for a new (NSFW) invention with the crowd and his bandmates.
The fan who brought the genius gift for DeLonge was recognized again later in the show and given one of the band's bass guitars.
Seems like a pretty great tradeoff to me!
But it didn't end there. The fan also got a sweet feature on the band's bassist and singer, Mark Hoppus' Instagram page.
What a day to be that Blink-182 fan! Who has since changed her bio to "blink-182's horse girl."
