Rain Gear Ready: A Cool Wet October Expected Across Michigan

The official first day of Fall happened this past Sunday. With that, Mother Nature decided to take fully into fall weather rather quickly.
Old Farmer's Almanac Michigan October Weather Prediction
According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, Michigan's lower peninsula, parts of Illinois, Indiana, New York, Wisconsin, and Ohio are considered the Lower Lakes.

As for the Lower Lakes, the Old Farmer's Almanac is saying that Michigan residents should get their rain gear ready.
- Oct 1-10 = Isolated showers, cool
- Oct 11-14 = Sunny, warm
- Oct 15-20 = Showers; warm, then cooler
- Oct 21-31 = Scattered showers, cool
- October temperature = 52° (1° below avg.)
- October precipitation = 1.5" (1.5" below avg.)
As for past October into the new year, they are predicting that the west side of the Lower Lakes will be experiencing a "colder than normal" winter.
"Winter will be warmer than normal in the east and colder than normal in the west, with the coldest periods in early and late November, in early December, from late January into early February, and from late February into early March."
As for any snow predictions, they also shared their predictions for that, as well.
"Precipitation and snowfall will be below normal, with the most snow in late December, from late January into early February, and from late February into early March. April and May will be warmer than normal, with rainfall above normal in the east and below normal in the west."
