From August 24th to August 25th, the Return to the River Festival is back by popular demand!
The Return to the River Festival is all about celebrating our beautiful riverfront with a free music and art festival.
Plus, it is bigger and better than ever.
For this year's Return to the River Festival, there will be three Riverwalk locations:
- 555 Monroe,
- Sixth Street Park, and
- Canal Park.
All three locations are connected and within walking distance from each other.
What can you expect at the Return to the River Festival?
Downtown Grand Rapids INC., shared that you can check out all of the:
- International and Local Art Installations
- Live Music and Entertainment
- Aerialists + Circus Performers
- Local Food Trucks
- Free Activities for Everyone
Did I forget to mention that grab-and-go adult drinks are available as well?
You can get a chill alcoholic drink from City Built Brewing, Embassy Suites, Garage Bar & Grill, Linear, Noodlepig, and SpeakEZ Lounge.
Free Kayaking
With all of the fun that you can experience at the Return to the River Festival, you can also go kayaking for FREE!
Provided by GR Outside, which is a division of Grand Rapids Parks & Recreation, there is free kayaking at Canal Park on August 24th and 25th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM!
No fuss! No hassle! Not only is it a free vibe, but there is no prior registration needed. You can simply show up and have a great time.
