Wednesdays are the best! They mark the work-week being half over, AND it's the day that the Humane Society of West Michigan stops in with a new friend to be named as Wendy's Pet of the Week!

This week, Tyree, a three-and-a-half year-old black lab mix came to visit!

Trudy Ender, Executive Director of the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Tyree into the studios. Tyree was surrendered by his owners in North Carolina, and rather than have him put down, he was brought to Grand Rapids through the Pet Smart Charities Rescue Wagon with the Humane Society of Kent County.

Tyree is currently being evaluated both physically and emotionally so that his next home will be the right one. He hopes to be ready for adoption very soon.

You can get all the information on Tyree and adopting, by visiting the Humane Society's website or by calling (616) 453-8900.

Trudy also mentioned the “Ice-T” Event at Rose’s on Reed’s Lake this coming Saturday, in support of the Humane Society of West Michigan. Come out and play golf on Reeds Lake and support the Humane Society.
