If you drive a Nissan Altima, you may want to swing by your dealer soon.

WOOD-TV 8 reports thousands of Altimas are being recalled to fix a problem with a latch. This problem could cause the hood to fly open when the car is moving.

This would be the third recall and covers cars from 2013 to 2015. The problem is that paint could flake off the latch, and over time the latch will get worn down once it starts to rust. This will cause the problem of your hood flying open.

Owners will be notified in February and it is expected they will repair the latch free of charge.
