Police Looking for Person of Interest After Two Found Dead in GR

UPDATE: Wood TV 8 is reporting that the Kent County Medical Examiner is ruling the deaths homicides. They have identified the deceased as 45-year-old Cherletta Baber-Bay and 25-year-old Keyona Griffin. Police are still searching for Derrell Demon Brown.

GRPD are looking for a person of interest after two people were found dead in Southeast Grand Rapids Wednesday afternoon.

Wood TV 8 reports that about 1p.m. on Wednesday police got a call from a person inside a home on the 500 block of Sheldon Avenue SE.

Officers found two deceased victims inside the home. They are treating the deaths as suspicious.

Police are now looking for 45-year-old Derrell Demon Brown. Brown is around 5-foot-8 and weighs 180 pounds. His aliases include Darryl Robinson, Carter Brown, Derrick Brown, Michael Richardson, Marcus Wright and Jay.

The GRPD says Brown has outstanding warrants for his arrest, outside of the suspicious deaths.

He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
