Plans to unveil the new Gerald R. Ford statue at the presidential museum were pushed up by a couple of days to clear the schedule for a much more somber event...the arrival of Betty Ford's body. The former first lady died on Friday at the age of 93 and will lie in repose at the museum Wednesday starting at 7 p.m.

Former President Gerald Ford is back on Capitol Hill today! The Grand Rapids native will forever stand tall in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington in the form of a bronze statute cast in his likeness. Yesterday, Ford's only daughter Susan Ford Bales and son Steven led the unveiling ceremony.
