Each year new words and phrases that have become mainstays in our vocabulary get added to the dictionary. I'm actually a bit surprised it took this long for Silver Fox to be added.

Put on your thinking caps...If you had to choose just one single to be the "Word of the Year" for 2020, what word would you choose? I'm sure most of us would choose a word related to the coronavirus...and we'd be correct!

It's official! My people are finally recognized by the dictionary! Back in March I gleefully announced that the folks that make the dictionary finally decided to add the word "Yooper". Now, "Yooper" and 149 other words and phrases are part of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary. But, it also includes a blooper. And, of course, it's associated with the word "Yooper&

Finally! After all of these years, my people are finally recognized as existing by the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Monday, after 10 years of campaigning, the word "Yooper" was added to the dictionary.
