As expected, 'Mad Men' and 'Modern Family' were among the top series nominated for the 2011 Primetime Emmys, announced early Thursday morning. 'Mad Men' picked up an impressive 19 nominations, the most of any drama series, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Leading Actor (Jon Hamm), Outstanding Leading Actress (Elisabeth Moss) and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Christina Hendricks).

The Golden Globes are tonight at 8:00 on NBC. The list of nominated movies includes a whole lot of movies I'd like to see but haven't seen yet, especially Black Swan and The Fighter. I did see Winter's Bone. Jennifer Lawrence got a well-deserved Best Actress nomination for her performance...
