Around 4,560 Consumers Energy customers in Kent County will be without power for a few hours early Wednesday while crews make repairs, Wood TV8 reports. The planned outage will start around 2a.m.

Power outages, fallen trees and downed power lines are being reported at multiple Michigan state parks following strong thunderstorms this morning.

Anyone planning to head to Cedar Point today will have to hold off. The Sandusky, Ohio amusement park remains closed today Cedar a storm damaged power lines yesterday, WZZM-13 reports.

Sunday night's severe weather and high winds left nearly 200,000 without power across Michigan, including over 20,000 in West Michigan.

About 2,700 Consumers Energy customers are without power on the northeast side of Grand Rapids this afternoon. According to the Consumers Energy Outage Map, the outage started just after 2:00pm and is affecting the area along Plainfield Avenue, I-96 and Three Mile Road NE. Traffic signals are out in the area.

A semi truck crashed into an electrical pole at a Grand Rapids intersection and knocked out power to buildings throughout the downtown area Tuesday morning. The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. at Michigan Street and Diamond Avenue.

As of noon today, more than 285,000 Consumers Energy customers statewide were without power caused by a snow and ice storm over the weekend. That includes nearly 70,000 in Grand Rapids and West Michigan, according to the Jackson, Mich.-based utility.

Ice combined with snow has led to numerous power outages in West Michigan. Since noon Saturday, more than 175,000 Consumers Energy customers have been affected by electricity outages in Michigan.

As high winds continue across West Michigan, thousands remain without power.

This weekend's storm has hit northern Michigan hard. Over 180,000 customers were without power this morning in northern lower Michigan.
