As someone who works in downtown Grand Rapids, I have encountered my fair share of panhandlers over the last five years. Those who rely on the kindness of others for their survival have, apparently, been doing it illegally, though. Soon, though, that could all change.

Recently our resident amateur photographer, Gene Parker, was in Seattle, Washington at Chihuly Garden and Galss.  The famed artist brought a large portion of his work to the Fredrick Meijer Gardens a few years ago.  The sheer amount of glass on display in Seattle is astonishing.  Sit back and enjoy a full series of photos that highlight Chihuly's genius.
