Well, it's official...  People love talking about cool things they've seen because this is by far the most popular TQOTD we've ever had!  So, what's your story?

What’s the coolest thing your eyes have ever seen?

  • TQotD: the coolest thing my eyes have ever seen was a Thunderstorm headed out to sea at the Jersey Shore. The entire cloud would light up and fingers of lightning would stretch out and tease the water.
  • Funny you ask that this week of all weeks, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, and just everything in Paris. We went there 30 years ago this year with my HS Choir. Sang outside of Notre Dame in the Luxemberg Gardens. It was AWESOME ❤️❤️❤️❤️, FYI, Our little school in Gwinn MI was chosen to represent the state of MI for the Bicentennial of the French Revolution that year. How cool was that
  • Whales off the east coast. Absolutely amazing!!
  • Cirque de Soleil LOVE (The Beatles show) at the Mirage in Las Vegas. The Beatles have always inspired me on a creative level. I saw a PBS special back in 2006 when the show first came out and it was always on my bucket list. I finally got to see it for my 30th birthday and it was AWESOME!
  • Getting to see my granddaughter being born...most amazing thing ever❤️
  • My grandbabies being born, all 3!
  • My 3 kids being born!
  • Glaciers in Alaska and on the same trip dolphins, whales & otters. Alaska is amazing!!
  • Glacier National Park, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Parks, Yellowstone, Black Canyon of Gunnison NP. So many of our national and state parks are an awesome sight for the eyes.
  • The grand canyon
  • A bioluminescent bay in Ireland. It was like glitter in the water.
  • While being in a plane and looking down and seeing a big city like Dallas and Las Vegas (you could tell because all the lights) it was night time and partly cloudy. It was beautiful!!
  • Quiet clear night in the UP. Love the sky away from City lights.
  • The smile on my girls face when she gets off work at the candy factory
  • Watching the sunset at the temple of Poseidon in Greece, literally breathtaking, saw it 20 years ago as a teen & will get to experience it again this summer with my future husband!
  • Aside from watching my son exit my body which was pretty amazing, the coolest thing my eyeballs have ever seen was watching the nutcracker ballet it was just awesome
  • Coolest thing I have Ever seen? My husband and I took an anniversary trip to Nova Scotia and did a ton of golfing and a mama and baby moose walked up 5 feet away from us while we were on the green just stood there we are able to watch them for 10 minutes
  • A plate of spaghetti
  • In a plane at night watching a thunderstorm in one of the states. Very cool!
  • My niece being born and The Smoky Mountains
  • My babies faces the day they were born!
  • My two beautiful baby boys
  • My husband purposing to me on Daytona Beach! The ring was inside a shell!
  • Complete humpback whale breech in Maui close to shore. Only other dude on the beach was reading a book with his back to the water! ‍♀️
  • Stanley Cup Finals and my day with the Budweiser Clydesdales
  • My son being born. Hands down.
  • Kinda personal and some may be grossed out, but the coolest thing I have ever seen is my son being born. Such an awe inspiring moment watching him come into the world.
  • A garden snake eating a frog
  • My grandparents falling in love every time they see each other after 50+ years of marriage
  • Panama canal!
  • My doctor performing my cornea transplant!
  • the sky in the U.P. , the stars sparkling over Lake Superior.
  • The inside of a pyramid.
  • The Grand Canyon
  • My kid's being born.
  • Northern lights, while holding my youngest son-1983. Little White Fish Lake.
  • Pure poverty amongst a village that could not be more happy with what they have.
  • Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. Absolutely breathtaking
  • Icebergs
  • Times Square in NYC during a power outage.
  • Vibrant northern lights that danced for hours in the sky, while on a dark back gravel road in New Hampshire
  • Bald eagles flying in the wild, saw one this weekend.
  • The Temple of Garni, the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia.
  • TQOTD.. It's a hard toss up between Appalachin Caverns, which I went caving in; creepy yet stunning or Bodega Bay, CA. Rented a condo and stayed for a week. It was magnificently beautiful.
  • #TQOTD My eyes seen the most amazing views on the road trip to Virginia. The highlight for me is a weird one though. You'd think the beautiful mountains when passing through Pennsylvania, but it was the Chesapeake Bay Bridge–Tunnel. Goes underwater for 23 miles. Was super cool.
  • #tqotd when I lived in Ludington the first winter when then lake freezes it pushes up on the beach and creates like ice mountains on the beach. That was so cool!
  • The coolest thing I've ever seen was my children after they were born!! Amazing ❤️❤️
  • Coolest thing I've seen was tripping on hallucinogens, saw horses running through water in tree bark. Amazing
  • Flying over the Niagara Falls
  • Driving to North Carolina and going through the mountains ..also the bottom of my cereal box
  • Coolest thing my eyes have ever seen is standing in the red beam of a rainbow. Shimmers, folds of thick n thin color, soundless in the beam
  • Seeing my sons for the first time was the most beautiful thing, but flying overNiagara Falls was the coolest!

  • The most amazing thing I've ever seen are the glaciers in Alaska
  • For me it would be watching a child come into the world is a magical thing
  • Recently went to Costa Rica. All of the beaches and sunsets. But I think seeing a sloth face to face. Literally stared at each other for a minute. So cute and so dirty haha
  • About a year ago i was flying out of Ford International and it was super early in the morning. Seeing the greater Grand Rapids area lite up was beautiful
  • Ok I lied.... I leave for a minute and put my ear buds on and your talkin bout peeing in the shower?WTF
  • The coolest most beautiful thing I have even seen is the look out over the ocean and over the crater at the top of diamond head in Honolulu Hawaii
  • The coolest thing I ever see with my eyes...I can see inside your body! I can see blood vessels, organs, blood flow, blood clots, masses and more! I'm a Sonographer (ultrasound) ❤️
  • I lived in Oregon for four years and I have to say seeing sunrises coming up over the peaks of the Cascade mountain range is amazing and breathtaking
  • #TQOTD I saw the Colosseum when I was 18. It literally took my breath away when I stepped off the metro
  • The coolest thing I've ever seen and I would be a wonderful thing is the cathedral in Cologne Germany. It was bombed 14 times in World War II and a 770 years old but
  • Question of the Day: my dad use to work in the aerospace field and my sister and I were able to see inside the Challenger shuttle while the heat tile were being replaced on the outside. It was about 6 months before it launched.
  • Well besides my kids, the coolest thing I've ever seen was when my wife and I went to the Bahamas and saw that the water was that beautiful blue green color. I didn't know it was really that color. I thought that was only in the movies!!! Lol
  • The coolest thing my eyes have seen is the footage of my first day home after my adoption at 2 years old, I'm 18 now, graduating and going to college far away next year. I hadn't seen the video before until recently. It was really cool, many tears. #adoption

  • On a deep level: the coolest thing I've ever seen was my son's development from being 3 months early into being the most amazing young man now when nobody thought he would survive let alone thrive. On a more literal level: are there swimming with dolphins in the open ocean or watching a humpback whale baby and its mother from a whale-watching vessel
  • The coolest thing I have ever saw was Scuba diving in Mexico! The colors and the sea life is Amazing !
  • The coolest thing I've ever seen was the Northern Lights in Grand Haven, Mi. Driving to spring my child from the clink, lol, and the sky was all green. I didn't know what it was at first. When I realized, I pulled over, got out and watched until it faded out. Super cool.
  • I had one of my best friends come out as trans a few years ago. To watch "him" become "her" has been amazing. It makes my heart so happy to see her finally living her life the way she has always wanted to and become the person she always felt she was.
  • One of the coolest things I have ever seen.... the beauty of Michigan through my camera lens. Also gas under $2 a gallon! Haha
  • Iguazu falls in Argentina. If you didn't believe in a higher power, you sure do after seeing it. It's haven on earth. (Also it feels like you are in Jurassic Park)

  • Best thing my eyes have seen. The Eiffel tower. I never thought I'd have such an emotional reaction to a piece of metal. But the history and how much of a landmark it is just amazed me.
  • The coolest thing I've ever seen is the Tanzanian Serengeti night sky. It was like starring into space.
  • Rainbows - but rainbows for 26 days straight in Hawaii was the bomb! Sometimes multiple times a day!
  • The son after being trapped in an avalanche tunnel for 2 days
  • The most beautiful thing I have ever seen is Mount Shasta in Washington when the sun was coming up. Which I have plans on climbing this summer so I can be closer to my mom!!!!!!
  • I went to Burma 13 years ago, and in Yangon, the capital city, there is a Buddhist temple that is huge and inlaid with 24 carat gold throughout the entire thing. It has a huge diamond shaped piece atop the main spire on the dome top that is sold 24 carat gold with diamonds on it. It's crazy because most of the people are starving.
  • The full solar eclipse down in Kentucky.
  • Sunsets on the gulf of Mexico and Sunrises over the mountain in mahogany Bay, Honduras are the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen. However climbing the ceremonial palace of cahal pech Mayan ruins in Belize are most amazing thing I've ever seen. I walked the rooms and sat where Aztec Kings did the same centuries before me. So amazing!!

  • The coolest thing I've seen is a black panther stalking a pigeon ,pounced on it ,caught it ,ripped his head off and started eating it ! have a good day guys

  • When I was in labor with my daughter, the doctor pulled out her head and arms and looked up at me and asked me if I wanted to pull her out myself. I reached down and grabbed her and pulled her out and laid her on my chest, it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen or experienced in my life.
  • My son says meeting creator of godzilla... his favorite movie
  • Watching my son's best friend get his first hit in school baseball...a Grand Slam baby!!
  • I seen somebody cough up a tapeworm.
  • Coolest things my eyes have seen... The blue waters of the Bahamas on Half moon cay island.
  • Coolest thing I've ever seen was blue hole in Jamaica it was absolutely Gorgeous!
  • I work in surgery, so there are amazing things I get to see every day. It's so amazing to get to help people like that.
  • My husband and I went to Montana and the Grand Tetons. Just outside the park, we pulled over on the side of the road. I laid down on my back on the road, and they arent lying -big sky country. You can actually experience the curvature of the Earth.
  • The coolest thing my eyes I've seen as inside mammoth cave all the different crystals
  • Hurricane katrina
  • If you have ever seen the movie Back Draft, where the flames crawl across the ceiling called a roll over I believe. I got to witness that first hand during firefighter training for the navy. It was inches above my head
  • The the sunset over the Pacific on Oahu
  • Lion King the musical!
  • 2016 cubs Indians World series game at Wrigley field game 4
  • The coolest thing I've ever seen... Is my mother's face when we went to Ireland she was Beautiful! It was the trip if her dreams and she and I had the best time. We weren't able to go on our next trip to Rome but I'm keeping my promise to take her with my son's help he his wife and I are taking a part of her next year.
  • "The Body" exhibit that visited the museum is GR
  • Most beautiful thing i've ever seen? My own intestines laid out on my abdomen during an emergency c section! I had wanted a mirror to watch the whole thing but my (now ex) husband wouldn't let me So, I was all strapped down, numb from the chest down, stupid blue curtain in my face blocking my view, BUT the lights in the OR have a super shiny chrome backing and it was just like a mirror! So, they remove my daughter (yeah, that was beautiful) BUT then i needed 2hrs of surgery to fix a bowl obstruction. Picture me, tied down, surgeons rifling thru my abdomen, they literally have my intestines out on a towel I can see them in the reflection, I immediately thought of Braveheart... took a deep breath and shouted: FREEDOM!!!!
  • Driving in the UP on the Curly Louis Highway during prime color. The sun was shining through the most gorgeous color of leaves. The colors and sun were so vibrant and gorgeous. I've never seen this color ever captured in a picture. Pure beauty....Pure Michigan!!!
  • The Northern Lights! They're just beautiful!
  • The other coolest thing that I've ever seen was a bird was sitting on the hood of my car and a hawk swooped by and grabbed it. there was feathers everywhere
  • Coolest thing I've ever seen was a full organ harvest. They are not super common and when I was a medic student it is almost unheard of to witness that in the OR. Plus to know how much that helped people was incredible.
