Be Safe: Avoid The 10 Most Dangerous Intersections in Kent County

I'm probably not the only one, but there are certain roads and intersections that I go out of my way to avoid here in Grand Rapids.

I've had to replace 3 tires thanks to debris on 131 in the s-curve, so if I don't have to, I won't take it.

And while we all have our own roads that have made the list of "places to avoid", experts have actually crunched the numbers to help us know some places we may want to avoid if we want to avoid a collision.

Michigan Auto Law has released its annual Most Dangerous Intersections lists, and you may want to avoid them when you can if you want to stay safe while traveling around Kent County.

1. US 131 @ Wealthy Street in Grand Rapids: With a total of 98 Total Crashes and 10 Injuries

2. Burton Street SW @ US 131 in Grand Rapids with a total of 78 Total Crashes and 35 Injuries

3. 28th Street @ I-96 in Cascade with 64 Total Crashes and 6 Injuries

4. I-196 @ US 131 in Grand Rapids with 59 Total Crashes and 7 Injuries

5. 28th Street SW @ Burlingame Avenue SW in Wyoming with 52 Total Crashes and 23 Injuries

6. 44th Street SE @ S Division Avenue in Kentwood with 51 Total Crashes and 14 Injuries

7. 28th Street SE @ Broadmoor Avenue SE in Grand Rapids with 48 Total Crashes and 14 Injuries

8. 44th Street SE @ Eastern Avenue SE in Kentwood with 47 Total Crashes and 19 Injuries

9. 28th Street SE @ Division Avenue in Grand Rapids with 47 Total Crashes, 1 Fatality and 16 Injuries

10. 54th Street SW @ Kellogg Woods Drive SE in Kentwood with 46 Total Crashes, 1 Fatality and 17 Injuries
