Apps That Make Trick-or-Treating Safer

These apps are especially helpful for those parents who are letting their kids go trick or treating with their friends this year.

They are even helpful if you're going out with them because there is always a chance something could happen and you could get separated.

1.  Family Locator.  It uses the GPS on their phone to show exactly where they are in real time.

2.  Red Panic Button.   All kids have to do is push a big red button, and it automatically sends you a text with a link to a map that shows where they are if for some reason they are in trouble or lost.

3.  Life360.  This is another map app that lets you see your kids  in real time, and they can message you if there's a problem.  This app is also a little different in the sense that you can set boundary limits so you get an alert if they go too far away, or cross a street they're not supposed to.
