I absolutely love spending time at Indian Trails Golf Course during their summer season. It's right next to my house, the price is right, and everyone there is so friendly. But it always bummed me out to think about how they just close it up for half of the year.

Turns out, I was way wrong. Since the chilly off-season in Grand Rapids is no reason to stay indoors. Indian Trails Golf Course has turned into a winter wonderland, and the fun is just getting started.

Cross Country Skiing:
Got your own cross-country skis? Perfect! Bring them along and hit the snowy trails. And hey, the clubhouse is open every day for snowshoe and fat tire bike rentals, plus concessions if the weather's playing nice.

They're open daily from 8am - 8pm for anyone who has their own gear, and if you want to rent something you can check out the clubhouse during their daily hours: Saturday to Wednesday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Thursday and Friday: Noon – 8:00 pm
Now, if you're really looking to make Indian Trails your winter home, they've got a season pass that gives you unlimited access for just $15.

And here's the cool part – by grabbing a trail pass, you're not just scoring unlimited access. You're also chipping in to keep the trails awesome, staff the clubhouse, and ensure they keep the winter activities coming back year after year.

Stay in the loop on trail conditions and closures by checking out the Indian Trails Golf Course Facebook page or giving the City's recreation cancellation hotline a ring at 616-456-3699.
