GRPD Warns Public About Fake Money Circulating in Grand Rapids
The Grand Rapids Police Department is warning the public about fake money that is circulating in the area.
In a release the GRPD say that it has had a few incidents where suspects are circulating what appears to be money that has the inscription, “For Motion Picture Use Only” printed on the front and the back of the bills.
Most of the fake bills being used so far have involved Craigslist transactions, or clerks at gas stations and restaurants.The GRPD suggests that everyone check their money before making financial transactions.
If you pass these bills, you could be charged with a crime that may result in jail or prison time. If you receive one of these bills, please contact the GRPD immediately.
