Job Fair Featuring 100 Jobs Coming Monday

Yesterday we received the shocking news that Perkins had suddenly closed all 7 of its West Michigan restaurants.  Perkins is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed 58 total restaurants. Monday brings us good news about jobs in West Michigan.

Spartan Stores YMCA in Wyoming is holding a job fair Monday, June 20, from 2p - 7p.  The job fair will take place at Hyatt Place, 2150 Metro Lane.

woodtv.com says:

(There will be) preliminary interviews for 100 part-time and six full-time positions. The part time positions include lifeguards, membership, custodial, wellness floor staff and personal trainers. The fulltime positions are for lead teachers at the YMCA licensed child development center.

No appointments are necessary. People will need to fill out a simple job application when they arrive, and the top candidates will be brought back the following week.

The new YMCA location is scheduled to open on August 15.
