Most Michigan highways have a speed limit of 70 mph, some places in the state even go as high as 75 mph.

Even with speeds that high people still get busted all the time for going 5-10 mph over that.

When I was young and dumb my parents were not impressed that I got 2 speeding tickets in my just 6 months.

One time for going 90mph in a 70mph and the other for  going 95 mph in a 70 mph zone.

I knew I was busted when I saw that unmistakable red light on top of a Michigan State Police Cruiser approaching fast behind me.
