I've experienced sheer panic when I realized I was going the wrong way on a one-way while driving in downtown Grand Rapids.
I've also flashed my lights and honked my horn at someone who had no clue they were going the wrong way.
Both of these times things turned out ok, but that's not always the case.

- If you have to, drive onto the shoulder or median to avoid a collision
- As soon as it is safe to do so, call 911 and report the driver with the most accurate description you can
- Do not attempt to stop the wrong-way driver yourself

On Sunday evening a wrong-way driver severely injured themselves as well as another driver on I-75 in Hamtramck.
According to the Michigan State Police:
"A search warrant was being drafted to check for alcohol and drugs for the wrong-way driver. The wrong-way driver also has a suspended driver's license,"
