Oh, crap, can I take back that email?
I've done it. I'm sure you have too. You write a pissed-off email to your co-worker, boss, supplier, neighbor, vendor - or maybe all of the above. You hit send. And instantly wish you could take it back.
I exercised great restraint just this past week when I literally had to sit on my hands to keep from blasting a person in our corporate office after they sent a dismissive, unhelpful, condescending reply to a legitimate business concern.
This new email service would've allowed me to send that email (not from my company email, though) with no fear of evidence to haunt me.
A new service called "Burn Note" will make your heat-of-the-moment email replies vanish after a set amount of time. The recipient can't copy and/or paste the message, nor can they take screenshots unless you allow it. It's pretty simple; enter an email address(es), configure the settings, write the note and send.
After the parameters you specified are met, the email is GONE. Gone from their screen, gone from the internet. In fact, every message is auto-deleted after 72 hours, regardless of whether they've been opened.
There are lots of ways this could be used. What's yours?
