They'll give anybody a talk show. And we mean anybody.

Need proof? Donald Trump -- you've heard of him, right? -- is getting one. Well, sort of. Trump impersonator Anthony Atamanuik will star in a talk show on Comedy Central, reports the New York Times, in which he "will play the President as he hosts his desk segments, comedy bits and guest interviews from the Oval Office." There's even going to be someone dolled up as Mike Pence to be his sidekick.

Trump supporters who may not find the humor in this can take some solace in knowing that the laughs may not be destined to last much longer than the time it takes to read one of the commander-in-chief's 5 AM tweets. That's because talk shows can expire quicker than rancid milk.

Let's hop in our TV time machine, then, and revisit the smattering of talk shows that crashed and burned. As Trump himself would say, "Sad!"
