3rd Annual Rockford Ice Festival Is This Weekend

Last year's Rockford Ice Festival drew 10,000 people.  This year's festival promises to be even bigger and will feature a 250 foot ice cream sundae bar, ice golf, activities for the kids, and more.

It's a great excuse to pull the kids away from that new video game they got for Christmas and it gives you a chance to wear that new sweater...assuming you have a turtleneck coat that covers it up.

The 250 foot ice cream sundae bar will be an attempt at a new world record.  Complimentary sundaes will be available from noon - 2:00 Saturday afternoon.

There's also ice carving, snow wall art, music, and the first Ice Festival Ball.  The Ball will take place Friday night from 6:00 - 11:00.
