Their food is incredible, they're open 24/7/365, and they just expanded to a second location in Coopersville off of I-96, so it's easy to see why they top the list of much stop gas stations They're worth checking out even if you don't need to fill up the tank.

2. Mr. You Chinese

363 S River Ave in Holland

Don't let this Chinese restaurant's location fool you, it's one of Holland's favorite spots.

3. Chester's Chicken in Kalamazoo

491 W. Michigan Avenue

Being from the south, I'll tell you to never sleep on gas station fried chicken. It can be some of the best you'll find, at a pretty reasonable price.

And this Chester's Chicken tucked inside a Shell in Downtown Kalamazoo really nails that experience. Take some home or, crunch into it while you're still in the parking lot. (I won't judge.) Just whatever you do, don't sleep on it.

4.Bricks Campau Corner

6785 Whitneyville Ave SE in Alto

I stumbled upon this gas station and tiny food court last summer, and I'm a huge fan of everything they have to offer. They have an ice cream window for if you just need a quick treat, or you can go inside and order from their entire full menu.

They also have a meat market with craft beers galore, so you can grab something to throw on the grill or stove to make yourself. If this one isn't close to you, they also offer additional smaller locations in Alto and Grandville.

5. Kum & Go

Various locations around West Michigan

I have to hand it to Kum & Go, for a chain gas station they've really nailed the food aspect. You can either order ahead using their app, or order at the counter using a digital screen, but everything is made to order right in their kitchen.
