72 New Emojis Are Being Released Today.. Including The Best One Yet!

I’m not sure which is more exciting these days: new shows/movies added to Netflix or when new emojis get released?

The people who create the emojis (Unicode Consortium) are releasing 72 new emojis today including a face palm emoji, a dancing man (to go with the dancing woman), a handshake, right and left fists for fist bumping and the best emoji to add.. BACON!  They’re also adding to the food and sports category.

Back at the beginning of June, they put out a video of all the new emojis that are being released today . So if you want to get the inside track, there you go.

By the way, just because they’re being released today, doesn’t mean we’ll have them on our devices today.  That depends on when Google, Apple and Microsoft get around to pushing them through on an update.  Still, a BACON emoji is coming!  As well as an avocado emoji, because I so often need one of those.
