Some West Michigan students are already back in school, and most will follow in the next couple of weeks. One thing that can help the kiddos get back in the swing of things is by setting a routine now, so they can get used to it before school actually starts.

The Child Mind Institute says that back to school plans should focus on three areas: morning routines, homework and bed time. This can help cut back on anxiety, as well as help make sure children get the 10 or 11 hours of sleep that they need.

It's best to start these routines a couple of weeks before school starts, but even if school is starting in a couple days, a setting the routine even now can help everyone have a good back to school experience.

Parents, are you ready for your kids to go back to school, or do you want to keep summer going?
