A Cold New Trend: Cryotherapy
Apparently their frigid winter wasn't enough—New Yorkers have now kept the ball rolling by starting a new trend: freezing themselves.
As the New York Post reports, Manhattanites are turning to cryotherapy as a beauty trend. The three minute process involves standing in a tube of air somewhere in the -200 degree range. The cold air is said to boost metabolism, trim belly fat, and loosen tight muscles.
It's also said to give a pretty big energy boost.
Grand Rapids isn't sporting cryotherapy yet, but if you're tired of the heat, have $90 and a few minutes to kill, head on over to Manhattan's KryoLife and get your chilling fix.
