A Plainwell Soldier Is Killed In Afghanistan

On Monday, Americans will celebrate Memorial Day in a variety of ways including a traditional favorite -- family reunions!

Memorial Day is a time to salute and honor all the military men and women, past and present, who have bravely served to protect our country and its freedoms.

Today, take a moment to observe the life and dedication of a fallen, local soldier named Private First Class, Thomas Allers of Plainwell. The 23-year old and three others were killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan on Monday.  Click here for the full story.
