Live Your Wildest Dreams: Don’t Miss The Adults-Only Space Camp Coming To Air Zoo
As a kid one of the things I wanted to do more than anything on the planet was to go to Space Camp.
If you're a millennial or Gen Xer like me, you probably remember those ads that used to play on Nickelodeon, or maybe you remember the movie they made in the 1980s all about it:
I never got to go and live out my best astronaut dreams, and maybe you didn't either. And now that we're adults and 'too old' to go, it may seem like it's never going to happen. But, that's where you're absolutely wrong.
You've now got your chance to go and live your best childhood space dreams thanks to Kalamazoo's Air Zoo.
The Air Zoo is hosting their first ever Air Zoo After Dark: Adult Space Camp coming up on Aug. 12 from 6 - 11pm.
If you show up, you'll get to try some hands-on creation stations, they'll have a balloon race ride, a scavenger hunt and tours in the STARLAB.
People can also make their own aluminum foil hats and stomp rockets, just like you did as a kid. And you won't go hungry, because appetizers will be provided and there will be a cash bar with space-themed cocktails, beer and wine. (since it's only for the adults!)
What should you wear? That's simple- Space-themed outfits are encouraged and they'll even have a contest to see who has the best space gear.
Wanna go? Grab your tickets before they sell out- They're $45 each and available on the Air Zoo website. The first 300 people to buy tickets will receive a space-themed goody bag so they can brag to all of their friends, so don't wait until the last second or you'll miss out.
