We Asked AI to Redesign Michigan’s Most Unique Mascots & the Results Are Wild

Michigan is a unique place with a lot of unique towns scattered throughout. It's also home to some very unique mascots.

A couple of years ago, we highlighted ten of the most unique high school mascots you'll find across the state of Michigan. They range from sea creatures you definitely won't find in the Great Lakes to mythological three-legged creatures.

Well, some of these mascots have been in place for decades, in some cases for more than a century. So, we thought that perhaps it was time for a rebrand.

There's no need to change the names of these mascots, that would be considered sacrilege to many. But, that doesn't mean that the mascots couldn't use a new look - a "glow up" if you will.

So, I did what any self-respecting millennial would do and I asked the robots to do the work for me. Using Canva's Magic Media feature, I gave it a simple prompt - "Design a high school mascot for the [school name] [mascot]", and let it work it's magic.

While some of the designs are pretty good, some of them are completely wild and unhinged, which led me to Googling a LOT of different things.
