Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City and across the nation announced they will be closed starting Sunday at 2 pm through April 1.

The response was to the COVID-19 outbreak, even though their announcement said they’ve had no reported positive COVID-19 cases with any of their guests or employees but with the recent focus from federal and state government officials on restricting large gatherings Great Wolf Lodge believed that it was in the best interest to temporarily close all of the resorts, with the plan to reopen on April 2.

The announcement says that great wolf lodge had already enacted enhanced sanitation measures and there was no report that the virus could live within chlorinated water, meaning the pools are and were still safe, but the health and safety of their guests and employees, temporarily closing was the right choice.

They say that when they do reopen, hopefully, April 2, that they will continue to do more frequent cleansing a public and “pack member“ areas of the resort with hospital-grade disinfectant solutions, which that solution is the same they use in the guest rooms as well.

Hopefully, if you were planning a spring break trip to Great Wolf, you'll be able to make that happen sooner than later when life returns to normal.  Great Wolf Lodge said to keep checking their website for updates on their re-opening.

If you did have a trip planned, the comment under their Facebook post says they are working on refunding reservations to those who want a refund, but also there aren't any fees to rebook to another date.
