All Treats No Tricks: Grand Rapids Dispensary Gathering Pumpkins For Local Schools

Halloween season is arguably one of the most fun holiday times during the year. You get costumes, candy, and a few harmless tricks and pranks along the way.

And while the Halloween season has more "pranks" than charity, one Grand Rapids business is doing their best to give back to the community, while giving back in thanks to their customers in the process.

Pharmhouse Wellness, Grand Rapids first independently owned dispensary, is giving back to the community in the form of something magically halloween: Pumpkins

Pharmhouse Wellness plans to donate more than 200 pumpkins to both Sibley and Stocking elementaries on Oct. 20 that have been given by customers.

And their good deeds won't go unpunished, anyone who donates a pumpkin who is over the legal age of consumption (21+) will be given two free pre-rolls from Michigan's own Michigrown to say thank you for their help.

This isn't their first public service movement as a company- earlier this year they planted trees in the neighborhood surrounding their location in an effort to help the environment.

If you do decide to stop in and make a donation to help out, you might as well add a costume to the list of things you need.

According to a facebook post they're also having a community wide costume contest for anyone who stops in the store between now and halloween in costume, so make sure you're dressed to (figuratively) kill and you can win twice.
