Another Day, Another West Michigan Business Closing – This Time It’s a Brewery!
2016 was a bad year for Celebrities and dying, and 2017 is shaping up to be a bad year for local businesses.
So far we’ve heard MC Sports, Sears at the Woodland Mall, Family Christian and Gordmans are all closing (well technically Gordmans isn’t closing yet, but liquidating their stores' merch.)
Well add another to that list and this time it's a brewery!
Dutch Girl Brewery in Spring Lake announced Tuesday on Facebook that they have closed their doors for good. Well, technically for good unless someone else would like to buy the brewery and restaurant.
The owners, Kelly and Luke, didn’t give a reason for the closing in their Facebook post, but did thank all who have stopped in, shared some laughs or word of encouragement. They also say the restaurant and brewery are up for sale if you have $350,000 or are good at negotiating; or you can wait for a couple weeks and the place will be put up for auction.
Dutch Girl Brewery opened in July 2015 at 14931 M-104/Cleveland St across from Vander Mill Ciders in Spring Lake.
