The Mitten Brewing Co. started an awesome trend! Recently the brewery, which has locations in Grand Rapids, Sagutuck, and Northport paid off all the student lunch debt for Suttons Bay School Distric to the tune of $2,700.

Now two more school districts will be starting the school year with zero student lunch debt.

Fox 17 reports that Fetch Brewing Company of Whitehall has paid off $5,500 in student lunch debt for more than 650 students at Montague and Whitehall schools.

The owners shared the news to Facebook, saying,

100% inspired by Mitten Brewing Company doing the same in their community, we reached out to see if we could keep the ball rolling. Happy to pay off the outstanding school lunch balances for both Whitehall and Montague Schools.

The Mitten Brewing Co. also stepped up to pay off another group of students' school lunch debt. The Saugatuck location shared on Facebook:

Friends, It's only our second summer in Saugatuck, but we already feel home.

Thanks to your amazing support, we have decided to pay it forward and eliminate all student lunch debt at Fennville Public Schools.

Cheers, and thank you for welcoming us to this beautiful community!
