Another News Anchor Has Said Goodbye To West Michigan
Saying goodbye is never easy but is part of everyone's life.
For WZZM 13 viewers Friday morning was the last time they saw a familiar face on their TV.
Another News Anchor Has Said Goodbye To West Michigan
Back in January, Jay Plyburn shared that he would be pursuing other opportunities in West Michigan and that his last day on air would be sometime in March.
Fast forward to Friday, March 22nd, and that time has come.
Jay Plyburn said goodbye for the last time, joined by his fellow WZZM 13 news crew of traffic reporter Dave Kaechele, news anchor Emily Scarlett, and meteorologist Samantha Jacques.
Why Jay Plyburn Is Leaving WZZM 13 News
For the past three years, Jay has been waking up West Michigan giving them the news and having some fun along the way.
In September of 2022, Jay and his wife had a beautiful baby girl, and that bundle of joy and wanting to spend more time with his family is why he decided to say goodbye.
As someone who doesn't have kids yet and gets up at 4 am each morning for work, I can only imagine how hard that must be with a newborn baby.
Jay shared some behind-the-scenes pictures of his last day at WZZM 13.
